My 99 honda accord dies....?

does it die at an idle or when your foot is on the gas? and when it dies does it sputter or does it just die? if it doesn't sputter, and it doesn't die with your foot on the gas, most likely it's electrical, good luck pinpointing that, however if it sputters, then dies, or if it only dies when it's idling it's most likely your fuel delivery system, if you want to start cheap and move towards expensive, i recommend going with some fuel injector cleaner, get the stuff you can pour into your gas tank, and put it in when it's at a half tank or so, then run the car till your almost out of gas and fill up, if that solves your problem then it is either your fuel filter or our injectors. the next step in the price range would be your fuel filter, should cost less than ten dollars, and you can do it yourself. if you need to know how to find the filter (you might have more than one, one in/near the engine compartment, and one near the fuel tank) autozone.com has a great parts locator on its website, just register as a user (don't worry, it's free) and it will show you where it is, and what tools you need, not to mention the fact that you can find the price of the part. the next step is probably fuel injectors, if it's your injectors, i would just buy a new car, with 220,000 city miles on it, your car should be on a respirator, thank god you have a Honda i guess. in any case, i hope this all helps, good luck.
