Why is Tony Blair so deluded that peace was being achieved in the middle east prior to the Egypt problem?

Of course Blair is deluded. He was the one who helped Bush start an illegal war on Iraq and he is now a Middle East Peace envoy for being a war criminal? Blimey, so if I start a war then will I get the same treatment? What a wonder, hypocritical times we sure live in.
