My tarantula keeps itching i think it may have a skin problem. what could i do to get rid of the shedded area?

its not molting or anything, but there is this little patch of not healthy looking tarantula fur/skin. its lighter than the natural looking tarantula skin. and i just caught it itching the spot today. do you think something is wrong? my tarantula is a rose haired.
