Impending surgery: 4-5 weeks post-partum w/ feeding infant?

i had a rather traumatic labour and delivery as well and i was on some pretty heavy meds. i had Oxycontin and oxycodone and nursed the whole way though, but did notice my bub did sleep allot and when i weaned off the meds she did too, so i took them sparingly. just make your doctor aware of your intention to nurse and they will make sure they check your meds and make sure they will be fine for you. get some good feeding positions in mind cause the more comfortable to are when you nurse the more inclined you will be to continue. good luck on you surgery hope all goes well.
