If someone gets tested for hiv and the result it says "p" what does that mean? that hes positive or neg.?
In New York, the doctors are not allowed to give results over the phone, for fear that you may harm yourself if you are positive and unsupervised. He should have been with a doctor at the time he was given the results to clarify the results. Do not put yourself at risk by engaging in any behavior which might infect yourself. And go to your own doctor right away and get tested. Not next week, not next month... Immediately. Also try to ask your doctor what hiv1/2 p means. He may not be able to tell you due to your friends patient confidentiality rights, so be creative. And stop asking people on yahoo to answer life threatening questions for you. The first one who answered couldn't even spell the word negative. That's kinda dumb, don't you think? Good luck.
