You CANNOT have a period while pregnant. You can have l bleeding for other reasons such as implantation bleeding, problems with the placenta, etc. A period is the shedding of the lining of the endometrium, getting rid of everything including the egg; therefore, if you truly have a "period" while "pregnant" then you have officially miscarried.
